Santana Says Beyonc Lost Album Of The Year Because She’s ‘Not A Singer’

UPDATE: Feb. 15, 2017 On Tuesday night, Santana clarified the comments he made about Beyonce, writing on Facebook that his intent was to congratulate Adele and that he has the utmost respect for Beyonce.

At Sunday nights Grammy Awards ceremony, Adele took home the award forAlbum of the Year, beating out Beyonc for the top prize. The Beyhive wasnt impressed, nor was Adele herself, who thought Beyonc deserved the award.

Carlos Santana, on the other hand, fully supports the British singers win.

I think that Adele won because she can sing, sing, Santana recently told the Australian Associated Press, before elaborating on his opinion.

With all respect to our sister Beyonc, Beyonc is very beautiful to look at and its more like modeling kind of music music to model a dress shes not a singer, singer, with all respect to her, the Mexican-American musician added.

Huh? With all respect, Santana,Beyonc can sing, and shes proven it time and time again.In Santanas opinion, however, Bey uses theatrics to mask her voice.

Adele can sing, sing. She doesnt bring all the dancers and props, she can just stand there and she just stood there and sang the song and thats it, and this is why she wins, Santana said.

ButBeyoncs props, dancers and elaborate stage sets are part of the reason people love her. Theyre also what made the Drunk In Love singers performance the most memorable of the night. And need we remind you, she is pregnant. Still, she managed to slay the stage like only she can.

All of this isnt to say Adele wasnt deserving of the award. Shes a wonderfully talented singer, and 25 is a great album. But Lemonade was a movement,a cultural event that basically stopped the world (world stop) for a minute. Beyond that, Beyonc is the most-nominated woman in the history of the Grammys shes earned 62 noms yet shes never won Album of the Year. Ever.

Even Adele was baffled during the ceremony, telling the press, What the fuck does [Beyonc] have to do to win Album of the Year?
