Selena Gomez‘s former costar/off-screen fling David Henrie is engaged — and boy, does he have an elaborate story for how he popped the question (FOUR months ago!) to his love, former Miss Delaware and teacher Maria Cahill!
Essentially, David planned a day to Catalina Island that ended with him popping the question in a local church… and then the couple’s ENTIRE family and close friends were waiting nearby to celebrate! So amazing!
Spilling the deets to Blog De Los Angeles, the 27-year-old dished:
“It was a BIG thing. I wanted to do something really special, something that would make everything pale in comparison to our entire relationship so far. Something we could look back on and that we both think, WOW, that was amazing, right?'”

The Wizards of Waverly Place alum added:
“I wanted it to be a big surprise, something she would never see coming So here were the hurdles I had to face: it involved a private helicopter, going off to an island, bringing her to a very special church It also involved getting her whole family from Delaware flown out, and most important: it all needed to be a complete surprise.”

Rihanna ‘Disgusted’ By Donald Trump’s Anti-Muslim Immigration Order
Rihanna is the latest star to add her voice to the conversation surrounding Donald Trumps recent executive order, which temporarily banned all refugees from entering the U.S. and temporarily banned travelers entering the country from seven Muslim-majority nations.
On Saturday, the pop star tweeted her disgust for the action, which also bars Syrian refugees indefinitely.
This is devastating! she wrote, seemingly referring to the president as an immoral pig.
That same night, a federal judge in Brooklyn, New York, put a temporary halt on parts of Trumps executive order. Thousands of demonstrators gathered to protest the travel ban at airports across the country.
Aside from Rihanna, plenty of other stars, such as Debra Messing, Michael Moore and Alyssa Milano, expressed their anger and sadness about the executive order on social media.
John Legend also spoke out about the issue at the Producers Guild Awards on Saturday night. The Grammy winner went off-script while presenting a clip from La La Land to deliver a poignant speech about acceptance.
Our vision of America is directly antithetical to that of President Trump, Legend said. I want to specifically tonight reject his vision and affirm that America has to be better than that.

And from what it sounds like, Madonna might just be up to the task — because she’s been approached by a legendary songwriter to record a protest track that could serve as an anthem against Donald Trump.

The singer, who took a lot of heat this week for saying she had thought about blowing up the White House while speaking at the Women’s March in Washington last weekend, has been approached by songwriter Bruce Roberts on a project, according to TMZ.
See, Roberts wrote Enough is Enough for Barbra Streisand and Donna Summer, and now he wants Madonna to re-record that anthem with specific lyrics that “express disdain for Trump’s policies.”
According to Roberts — who apparently wants Madonna in the studio immediately to capitalize on Trump’s presidency — it won’t be a personal attack on the Cheeto-in-Chief, but rather a takedown of how he is hurting the American people.
And the disco staple will stay close to its roots, too; Streisand and Summer will apparently remain on the hook, to keep the feel the song has had for so long.

Donald Trump May Think Madonna Is ‘Disgusting’ Now, But He Didn’t When He Posed As His Own Publicist See What He Said THEN!
He criticized Madonna’s speech during the Women’s March this past Saturday, saying:
“Honestly, she’s disgusting. I think she hurt herself very badly. I think she hurt the whole cause. I thought her, and a couple of others. But I thought she was in particularI thought what she said was disgraceful to our country.”
Never mind that everything Drumpf does is a literal disgrace to our country, he was referring to Madonna’s “blowing up the White House” comments that she has since apologized for. But there was a time when Trump was all up in Madge’s business, desperate to get a date with her.
When he was rebuffed, he posed as his own publicist “John Miller” to pretend the whole thing had never happened. Sad!
In the audio of the conversation between “John Miller” and People‘s Sue Carswell, obtained by The Washington Post in May 2016, “Miller” attempts to refute rumors of his pursuit of the pop star, saying:
“Madonna was in the room, and so somebody from Madonna’s entourage, because she comes in with an entourage of dancers and everything else, and somebody from Madonna’s entourage came over and said, Would you go over and say hello to Madonna?’ And so [Trump] went over and said hello to Madonna and he gave his autograph to the dancers. She said, These are fans’ and all this. Will you give them the autograph?’ So he said, Best wishes’ or something. And then all of a suddenand that was the end. And then he said goodbye to her and that was literally the end. He’s got zero interest in Madonna. It was literally the end.”
Doesn’t it seem like he doth protest too much???
“Miller” continued:
“And the next day in the newspapers, they had a story that he wanted to go out with her and everything else. Well, she called and wanted to go out with him, that I can tell you.”
Riiiiight. We’re sure that’s exactly what happened.
And you know what? We might have believed the guy if the evidence of his humongonormous ego wasn’t such common knowledge.

A feud between
The Girls Just Want To Have Fun singer either didn’t catch wind of this clarification or didn’t care because she went on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday and slammed her fellow pop queen’s “angry” speech.
Miz Lauper told Andy Cohen:
“I don’t think that it served our purpose. Anger is not better than clarity and humanity. That is what opens people’s minds.”
The 63-year-old went on to point out Scarlett Johansson‘s speech as an example of a more productive conversation starter:
“It was clear, it was eloquent. Yelling just jacks people up. It doesn’t communicate any kind of humanity or story that would open another person’s mind.”

Texas radio station bans Madonna songs from the air: She’s ‘un-American’
Madonna denies trying to adopt two more children from Malawi
Reports say the singer, who has two adopted children from the country, appeared in court in Lilongwe with two unidentified children
Madonna has denied reports that she has travelled to Malawi to adopt two more children from the country.
News reports citing a spokesman for a court in the countrys capital, Lilongwe, said the singer had appeared before it to lodge an application for adoption, but Madonna dismissed them as rumours.
Detailed reports in local media described tight security at the court, with Madonna appearing before Justice Fiona Mwale and accompanied by two unidentified children and several other people.
Mlenga Mvula, spokesman for Lilongwe high court, told the Agence France-Presse news agency: The court is looking at the application now to determine whether Madonna can adopt these two children.
Madonna denied she had been seeking an adoption. Speaking via a publicist, she told the Guardian: I am in Malawi to check on the childrens hospital in Blantyre and my other work with Raising Malawi [her charity], and then heading home. The rumours of an adoption process are untrue.
Madonna has adopted two children from Malawi: David Banda in 2006 and Mercy James in 2009. She founded the charity Raising Malawi and is building the first paediatric hospital in the country, which is among the worlds poorest. She was photographed visiting the site, at Queen Elizabeth hospital, last July.
The singer also has two biological children, Lourdes Leon and Rocco Ritchie. Last September she lost a custody battle with her ex-husband, film director Guy Ritchie, over Rocco, 16, that ensured he will remain in the UK.
In December, Madonna raised more than $7.5m (5.9m) for Raising Malawi at a benefit gig and auction at which she grabbed headlines by saying Donald Trump made her ashamed to be an American.
Her adoptions from the country have proved controversial, partly because both children still had living family members. Bandas father said in an interview he had not understood the legal implications of the adoption process, and that he regretted giving up the little boy.
Former president Joyce Banda published a blistering press release in 2013 saying the singer wants Malawi to be forever chained to the obligation of gratitude for adopting children from the country, and excoriating her for expecting the government to roll out a red carpet and blast the 21-gun salute in honour of her visits.
The controversy also led Malawis government to review its laws governing adoption from overseas to make sure they serve the best interests of the children, a Malawian government source told the Guardian.
But Bandas successor, Peter Mutharika, has struck a more conciliatory tone, thanking the star on behalf of his government for the passion Madonna has for this country.
