Taylor Swift Had The Sassiest Comebacks To These Sexist Questions In Her Assault Trial

Okay, well admit that we havent always been nice to Taylor Swift. Really, weve never been nice to Taylor Swift, and we stand by what weve said from now until eternity. But today, were giving Taylor some major props for fighting back against sexist assholes and winning. Four for you Taylor, you go Taylor.

If youre behind on the Taylor Swift butt grabber trial (a sentence that shouldn’t be real but is because 2017 is a fiery wasteland), heres a quick rundown of what you need to know: A few years at a concert meet-and-greet, this radio DJ named David Mueller *allegedly* grabbed Taylors bare ass under her skirt while they were taking a photo together. Taylor was understandably not cool with this, and she made that clear. At some point, the sad pathetic DJ got fired, and he decided to sue Taylor for supposedly being the reason he got fired.

So last week, Taylor had to testify about the incident, and we honestly didnt know she was capable of some of the peak sassiness in her answers to Mueller’s lawyer’s condescending and sexist questions.

When asked why the picture doesn’t show the alleged ass grabbing: “Because my ass is located in the back of my body.

When asked why no one else saw the incident happen: The only person who would have a direct eye line is someone laying underneath my skirt and we didnt have anyone positioned there.

When asked a bullshit question about why shes not mad at her bodyguard: Im critical of your client sticking his hand under my skirt and grabbing my ass.

Basically, Taylor was having absolutely none of this bullshit, and why should she? Shes like one of the most famous people in the world, and in 2017 she still has to sit in court and listen to some dude try to explain why she misinterpreted a stranger grabbing her butt. Men, take note: dont grab our fucking butts. Or touch us in any way without getting our express consent first. This is like, kindergarten shit, we really should not have to explain this concept to grown-ass men.

The judge threw out the DJ’s lawsuit on Friday, saying that he couldnt prove Taylor was the reason he lost his job, so sexist pig men didnt win this round, thank fucking god. Taylor will probably disappear now and go back to recording her rumored hip-hop album (barf), but just for that one moment she was betchy and awesome. Sometimes people surprise us.
