An obsessed fan of pop singer Taylor Swift lurked around her luxurious New York City condo building for the past three months including on her roof in the hopes of landing a face-to-face meeting with the star, court papers allege.
Mohammed Jaffar, 29, launched his creepy campaign in December, when he arrived at Swifts Franklin Street address and requested a sit-down with her before being ordered to get lost, the documents state.
Refusing to take no for answer, Jaffar then showed up to the glitzy Tribeca building four more times over the next two months, the most recent visit on Feb. 15, according to a criminal complaint against him.
One time, Feb. 6, Jaffar actually entered the building. He was captured on surveillance footage lingering in the hallway directly outside Swifts penthouse apartment door and on the buildings roof from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, court papers charge.
Another time, Jaffar allegedly rang Swifts door buzzer for an hour straight in a desperate attempt to make her acquaintance.
Undeterred, he returned the next day and rang the doorbell for 45 more minutes, the complaint states.
In addition to the in-person approaches, Jaffar bombarded Swifts management company with 59 calls between Jan. 27 and Feb. 16 demanding that he be put in touch with her, papers state.
Jaffar was busted March 6 on stalking and burglary raps and is being held on $20,000 bond. Judge David Frey signed off on an order of protection against Jaffar, barring any contact with the pop star.
