Calvin Harris Explains How Taylor Swift Made Him ‘Snap’ Leading To That Twitter Rant!

It was the shade heard around the world!

Nearly a year ago, Calvin Harris called out Taylor Swift on Twitter following their sudden split — all because she confirmed she was actually the one to write This Is What You Came For!

So not only did the DJ slam his ex, but even referenced her feud with Katy Perry!

Finally speaking on why he acted the way he did, the 33-year-old explained to GQ UK:

“It was completely the wrong instinct. I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped.”

Calvin continued, saying he let his emotions get the best of him in that moment:

“It’s very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly. The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicized than the relationship itself. When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus. She respected my feelings in that sense. I’m not good at being a celebrity. But when it ended, all hell broke loose. Now I see that Twitter thing as a result of me succumbing to pressure. It took me a minute to realize that none of that matters. I’m a positive guy.. For both of us it was the wrong situation. It clearly wasn’t right, so it ended, but all of the stuff that happened afterwards…”

Last we heard, the two patched up their relationship enough to be come friendly. Interestingly enough, Taylor still follows her Scottish ex on Instagram, but he’s not following her.

Oh well. Hopefully a year is enough to heal their wounds…

So what does exec producer Selena Gomez think of all this controversy? It’s pretty much what she was going for. She told the AP:

“We stayed very true to the book and that’s initially what Jay Asher created, was a beautifully tragic, complicated yet suspenseful story, and I think that’s what we wanted to do. We wanted to do it justice and, yeah, that’s going to come no matter what. It’s not an easy subject to talk about, but I’m very fortunate with how it’s doing. I’m overwhelmed. I’m very proud of it.”

Whatever your reaction to the show, it is getting a lot more people to talk about the problem of teen suicide.

Last night, while we were all sleeping,JAY-Z dropped his thirteenth studio album,, and the world will never be the same.

However, fans are talking about one mysterious line circulating on Twitter. Wait a minute, JAY, are you throwing shade at Kim Kardashian?

In the social media explosion that followed the album drop, one lyric began making rounds, causing people to lose their damn minds.

Someone, WE DON’T KNOW WHO, tweeted an alleged lyric that says,My wife a queen not a Kardashian.

Hm, looks like a rap lyric. Sounds like a rap lyric. Makes sense as a rap lyric, given that one time Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, went on a massive rant about JAY-Z and his wife Beyonc

Twitter jumped all over it like it was the last slice of a cheesecake in a post-apocalyptic world. (What, you guys never think about what a nightmare that would be?)

Alright, alright, alright. Everyone calm down.

The lyricis a fake rumor someone started because they are sad, and lonely, and want to watch the world burn.

Luckily, for every fraud trying to slander JAY’s name, there are a million fans backing him up. Fortunately, it didn’t take Twitter long to figure out the lyric doesn’t actually exist anywhere on the album.

If people are looking for some juicy gossip, why not refer to the lyrics JAY raps about Becky with the good hair, or an alleged threesome he had while married to Beyonc, or that fight in the elevator with Solange?

JAY even rapped the following lyrics regarding his infidelity:

Calvin Harrison Reveals Details About Breakup With Taylor Swift In New Interview

The world is not done talking about Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris. How do we know? Calvin Harris isn’t even done talking about Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift.

In the aftermath of their famous breakup roughly a year ago in July 2016, Harris did not handle it super well.

Swift appeared to have shattered the DJ’s heart, causing him to throw a public temper tantrum and accuse her of making him look bad.

This was due to Swift revealing she helped him write his massive hit, This Is What You Came For, something Harris appeared to have wanted to credit for all by himself.

In defensive tweets, Harris said,

I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym. Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.

Yikes. And no, it didn’t stop there. In following tweets he wrote,

I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.

I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy [Perry] ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.

Now, Harris is singing er, DJing? a different tune.

In an interview with , he admits lashing out at Taylor Swift was not the right move, saying he snapped.

It was completely the wrong instinct. I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped.

Nothing like a year’s worth of perspective, eh, Calvin? Still, it takes a big person (celebrity or not), to admit they’re wrong.

In his interview, he added,

Machete-wielding man arrested near Justin Bieber concert

A machete-wielding man was one of two people arrested outside a U.K. arena where singer Justin Bieber is slated to perform Friday night.

The men were arrested outside the Principality Stadium in Cardiff by the South Wales Police, Wales Online reported.

South Wales Police were called to a dispute involving motorists on Saunders Road, Cardiff, at approximately 3:05 p.m., police said in a statement.

Authorities later tweeted: “We would like to confirm there has been no incident at the @principalitysta Justin Bieber concert. Visitors to Cardiff please be reassured..”

The two men, aged 19 and 17, were detained on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon, officials said. They were being held at Cardiff Bay Police Station.

George Petrov, a waiter working near the arena, told Unilad: I was walking and I saw a security guy pull the person from the car. He was holding a machete inside the car.

Petrov added: The security guys saw him and stopped him. They pulled him out of the car and started hitting him.

It was unclear how the second man was allegedly involved.
